About Parkdale-High Park

Since 1987, The Rotary Club of Parkdale - High Park has been working for the benefit of its community, and in support of the international community service initiatives of Rotary International.  We are proud to be members of the world’s oldest service club, founded in 1905, and to be associated with its strong record of local and international community service.

About Toronto Sunrise

Our club was founded in 1996 and has supported local and international causes both hands on and financially.  In brief:

We support "Our Community"

  • We founded and continue to support a childrens' reading circle literacy program for local children ages 5-10 currently held at Woodgreen East York Rotary Neighbourhood House;
  • We provide supplies to a women's shelter in Toronto;
  • We assist Moorelands Community Services to ensure that their facilities are ready for inner city kids to have fun at Moorelands Camp each summer;
  • We distribute Christmas hampers to needy families in Toronto;
  • We work with other Rotarians to build homes through Habitat for Humanity Toronto;

Regionally and Internationally:

  • Assisting the worldwide effort to eradicate polio;
  • We have also contributed to the effort to remove landmines;

Other projects we are working on:

  • Providing safe drinking water and proper sanitation in developing countries.

About Toronto Eglinton

The Toronto Eglinton Rotary Club was chartered in 1954.  The Club holds luncheon meetings Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club.  The meetings are lively, usually with an interesting speaker.  For the last many years the membership has been maintained at about 70.
